Clinical Trial

I participated in my first Huntington's Disease research trial yesterday and today at Johns Hopkins. I am happy to report that they got new chairs (no one should receive bad news in a broken chair) and cleared out a bunch of the paper stack clutter, and the "Center of Excellence" looks slightly more presentable.
This was NOT for the treatment that the media has covered. They took about 20 mL's of spinal fluid to test for the huntingtin protein and some other chemicals they believe are involved with HD. The spinal tap wasn't too bad. The anesthetic does its job, but it does take a long time, and I'm definitely sore.
